PRESS: Recruiting service HeadHunter tests LinkedIn analogue Setka

MOSCOW, Dec 12 (PRIME) -- Russian online recruiting service HeadHunter is testing social network Setka, an analogue of LinkedIn the country muted in 2016 for its failure to localize personal data, business daily Kommersant reported on Tuesday.

OOO Headhunter, the main legal entity of service HeadHunter, registered domain setka.ru on November 9. According to the website, the company intends to launch a new social network for “professionals from various industries.” The application’s page in App Store reads that access is granted upon invitations only.

HeadHunter said that Setka is working in a trial mode, but “the decision on the launch of the project and its terms has not been made yet.”

A source in a large IT company told the daily that the platform has been developed at least since the middle of 2023.

Another person in a large IT company estimated development of a minimum viable product of a business social network at 200 to 250 million rubles, and the budget of the project considering promotion costs is seen at 1.5 to 2 billion rubles.
